"The location was great. Close to restaurants, whole foods and the embassies. When I arrived I was notified I would have two double beds not the king I booked. Also, the parking was pricier than listed on Expedia.. This hotels walls are pretty thin. Additionally, the bed I had squeaked loud just by adjusting sleeping potions and very much needed repaired- my husband’s bed was fine. I weigh 135. "Nice room, pretty hotel. Lots of construction in the area at this time. This is the second time we’ve stayed, and the second time I’ve received random charges on my credit card that I had to ask about. During this stay we couldn't check in until 4:30 given a glitch in their system ( the room was ready but the front desk couldn’t “release it”). A couple of minutes turned into 30. "

"If you want to experience Georgetown in its true spirits, you have to stay at Georgetown Inn. It’s walking distance to restaurants, harbor, university, shops. Parking is additional but was a relief it was to not worry about finding a spot or moving it. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, which made the stay memorable!"

It sits on the end of a row of beautifully restored old houses along the canal one block from the main road that’s lined with shops & restaurants in the heart of old Georgetown. There’s a parking garage directly across the street, 2 very nice coffee shops/bakeries within 1-2 blocks, an Italian restaurant next door, & it sits directly on the canal. Fantastic location & great price. Nice linens & it was very clean too!"
