"Half of the hotel is in a separate building so it feels more like a motel. If you get one of those rooms it can be a little loud The ac unit in our room emitted a funny smell so we could not use it. The shower curtain bar was bet so we could not close the curtain all the way. When we closed the curtain, the ends would sag towards the middle of the bar. Also it’s next to a working marina and they start early moving boats around so it’s tough if you want to sleep in. Also, housekeeping is by request, so you have to check in at the front desk if you want your room cleaned or bed made. However, the bed was clean and th water was hot so there’s that. And the continental breakfast was good. But I would not stay there again. There are other properties in the area that are cleaner and more modern. "

"It was super busy when we arrived and had to wait about an hour for the room. Other then that, the entire stay was great. Location is good, 15 minutes walking from historic downtown."

"The restaurant had a great atmosphere and delicious bread. The hotel was nice but the rooms are very, very dark. I would love additional lighting. The bathroom and shower area had some big cracks and could use some love. It was so nice that they had water and bubble water available to guests. The location is fantastic and the lobby is a dream! There was a wedding on Saturday night and our room was right next to it. With the music blaring and clean up, the noise didn't stop until 11. We have a baby and were not informed that there would be a wedding. So it may have altered our choices. There were at least 4 people in the lobby complaining about the horrific noise and lights from the wedding and the manager wasn't around to help handle those issues. "

"We have stayed at this Best Western location many times over the last 5 or 6 years, but this was our worst experience. The rooms were mostly clean. The breakfast was mostly fine. The staff was mostly friendly. The pool was not clean - as in, we couldn't swim in it - and we came during spring break. My biggest issue was with the person at the front desk when we checked in. He was friendly and professional initially. But his response when I asked"

"The shower was moldy in both rooms I was put in. The first room had one screw holding the safety latch thing on the door so they put me in another room since they had no one to put in a screw!!!! The pool to which they share with Best Western next door was ABSOLUTLY NASTY. Broken umbrellas, broken chairs and FILTHY tables where you wouldn't want to put your drink down on them. The pool looked cloudy and I wouldn't even put my big toe in it let alone my body!!! SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will say the bed was comfy and smelled okay and the location was the best part. If they could hire people that cared about the place I think it could be a homerun. Oh and the included continental breakfast was pretty good. First morning was scrambled eggs and sausage and second morning was western style omelets and sausage, not bad at all!! Lady who worked the night desk was argumentative and rude, was upset that I was concerned about being a woman alone in a room with no safety on the door!!! "
