"This is a really lovely hotel on the outskirts of Positano which combines modern facilities with traditional charm in perfect balance. The staff are brilliant, there's a restaurant attached to the hotel where breakfast is served, all situated in a vibrant area just outside the main town, so it's quiet at night too. We'd especially like to call out Salem for staying late for us on our check in day due to flight delays that made us arrive much later than our original expected arrival time. Salem was very patient with us and we really appreciated the above and beyond service he provided. Breakfast was great every day and the wait staff in the restaurant in the evening were fantastic. The two guys that ran the pool bar were awesome as well. Massages were great and we used the sauna and indoor thermal pool as well. We were sad to leave when we did but most certainly will be back. Ciao ciao."

"The hotel and the apartment are totally in 2 different locations - super INCONVENIENT. And it’s not 5 min walk - my family and I always jokes if Italian say 5 min walk it would be 10 or 15 min for American 😃. The apartment located right at the square is good for shopping and restaurants but to get to the apartment it’s a lot of stairs and you’re going up to 3,4 floors without elevator. This place runs on rules upon rules upon regulations, and the photos are doing heroic work—instead of an idyllic hillside retreat, you get a tired, austere little fiefdom that makes a Holiday Inn look like the Ritz. Worst hotel of my two-week Italy trip (my partner agreed, enthusiastically). In fairness, the view is lovely and the area is peaceful—the hotel just works tirelessly to undo that from the inside. "This hotel was 10/10, very well maintained, spacious room for three, but the best part was how helpful Elena and Carmela at the front desk were. Elena coordinated transfers before our arrival, during our stay and the day of our departure. She coordinated the most amazing cooking class in Amalfi, again 10/10. Of note, Cetera is a fishing village so most pasta dishes are prepared with fish. You need to take the ferry to other surrounding areas, Amalfi, Capri etc. meals at the hotel were...

"Clean room, helpful staff but very limited range of food in breakfast and dinner plus the main meals were tasteless. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and we had to spend 40 euros everyday on taxi to go to and from train station - not a good location plus the experience was of a very basic hotel even though we paid the price for a luxury hotel."

"Millions of stairs to climb with your luggage. The helper can only carry one, so you’re stuck with the rest.. 82 stairs on high elevation. Elevator broken during one point so now your walking up more stairs to your room. The spa only has one masseuse so no couples massages. One goes while the other waits. The room was nice. Just getting to it was an issue"
