"I tried to cancel a few hours after booking, but because I booked the same day, the employee told me I could not cancel. So, I checked in, while he listened to music on his earpods. As everyone said, the walls really are almost paper-thin. You can hear every single word of the television show that the person next to you is watching. So, you can bet that whoever is in the room over can also hear any conversation you might be having. I couldn't see the surrounding area well because I arrived late...

The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and well appointed, Each staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and professional. There is a coffee shop , restaurant, and rooftop bar on the property. All were very enjoyable. I highLy recommend The Markham."

"The property was beautiful! The pool and Tiki Bar were so much fun to return to after a day exploring. The room was comfortable and the balcony was a plus. The view from every angle was amazing. The staff worked hard to make our stay relaxing."

"I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

"New and clean. Beds were comfortable, ac worked good. Easy access to beltway 8. Also has a convenience store at the road entrance. Things I didn’t like were, no pool, no breakfast, and could have had better coffee at least."

"Staff was very accommodating. Amenities like bottled water, coffee, espresso, small snacks were welcome and plentiful. Location afforded easy access to the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, and also mitigated the noisy crowds and atmosphere of the party scene. The variety of rooms available adds curiosity to a return visit in the future to try them out. Overall pleasant experience."

"This was my 4th time here bc we love all the things u get to do without leaving ur hotel. Swimming, lazy river, amusement park, an enormous arcade and multiple great restaurants!"

"The property and room was very clean. Staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. The property is conveniently located next to all major locations in the heart of the French Quarter. Everything is within walking distance and quick easy access to the Streetcar stops which along with the bus lines get you to other parts of the City. Will definitely stay at this property again."
