The staff was amazing, more specifically Elian; he was very attentive, friendly, and respectful. The only feedback I have is regarding the road that leads to the hotel, which is a dirt road with big potholes that can damage your car, they should pave it soon since it leads to others hotels as well.

I will highly recommend this property. If you want to relax, disconnect and reset, this is the place to be. The serenity, tranquility and view of this place are indescribable. Pleasant and attentive personnel, food delicious, service to high standards, rooms spacious and clean, activities offered like tour to the city of Guatape and El Peñol. I recommend you to take the motochiva or Tuc-Tuc to the city and walk around also to el Peñol. However, take the boat with them, the adventure is incredible. The full body massage was the best massage I had ever had. They hit all the pressure and knob points, as well as relaxing. Great job!!

Horrible- No A/C, No ceiling fans as advertised (they recently updated to remove this from their ad but even denied ever advertising, despite my screenshots of property). Beware if hotel offers refund for the night in writing via whatsapp they’ll still try and deny. Don’t be tricked by these fraudsters use bank chargeback option. $700 a night for room with no ventilation, no air flow, no AC. The staff are scammers and the property is isolated with transportation 4x more than direct transfer. Property is a 2 or 3 star at best and looks ghetto with lost designs in interior. You’re paying only for views but please only pay for what is advertised! They have recently updated ad to reflect no ceiling fans and no AC. Scummy people stay far away and we’ve stayed at many high end hotels in colombia - they do shame to their people

Very nice small boutique hotel, perched on a small hill fronting the beautiful Guatape lake. We came looking to rest and connect with nature which we got some off. Great views and beautiful lush gardens. No pool, but a large custom jacuzzi. Deluxe corner suite room had lake & forest views and outdoor jacuzzi with king bed. We had a nice lake boat ride that took off from the hotel marina and also a fantastic couples massage session in our room. Hotel is quite new and well designed and decorated. Food is fantastic, nice fusion of local and international fare. The restaurant has great views of the lake. Temp in mid may was in the mid 70’s during day and high 60’s on evenings. Rooms have no A/C but a small floor fan; first night was rather hot inside the room, but we were told it had been unusually hot when we arrived. Next night better as temp dropped to low 60s. I would recommend hotel management: to install ceiling fans, as the floor fans are ineffective, and to press the municipality to pave the huge pot holes in the road connecting to the property. On a final note our rest was disturbed each day of our stay by the constant short trips of a tour helicopter that kept flying nearby. I’m surprised that the government of such a serene and beautiful nature area granted a permit to a helicopter tour operator to pollute such a serene place with constant noise, such a down! Looking forward to return and hoping that the helicopter rides are gone by the time we get back.

Tau House is a high class romantic and magical place to stay at Guatape. The food is very healthy and cooked to perfection. The staff is extremely nice and the hotel environment is exceptional! The best hotel in Guatape for a romantic get away! Thank you Tau House for such a magical experience!

Lo mejor en guatape
Tremendo servicio. Al hacer el check in eso ja fue una tremenda experiencia. Nos llevaron al cuarto y todo fue espectacular. Todo limpio el jacuzi al temperatura. La cama es como dormir en el Paraiso. La comida del restaurante esta somamente delicioso. Mi pareja y yo vamos a regresar y quedarnos mas dias.
