Xi'an Bell Tower Yongning Gate Manxin Hotel-Barrier-free English Service Non-smoking Hotel

"Staff was great. The value received was excellent. The rooms were clean, and everything worked perfectly. The shower flooring was marble, but the grooved finish made it non-slip and comfortable. The heated toilet seat was a bit warm for my taste. My only issue was related to a few finishing and technical points. The room was recently renovated, so the shower door did not sit perfectly. The hotel offered to fix it, but it wasn’t a pressing issue, so we let it go. During the renovation, two screws showed in the bathroom near the top of the glass door. The staff offered to call maintenance to fix it, but we asked them to add it to the list and address it for future guests. The hotel’s location, inside the city walls near the South Gate, was fabulous. We could walk to museums, galleries, the Muslim Quarter, the Catholic cathedral, the city wall, and many sites that most tourists miss. If you download Amap from the Apple App Store, you can use it in guest mode without registering a Chinese phone number. Change the language to English, and you can get around the city quickly and cheaply. The subway station and many bus routes are within a ten-minute walk of the hotel. Take a walk on top of the city wall after dusk for a great and inexpensive experience. The breakfast option was a good value. If you’re unsure where to order eggs or the specialty buns, ask the staff. Great hotel. We will book it on our next visit."

"The Novotel Xi'an The Bell Tower is located in a great area; within walking distance to the bell tower in Xian. There are plenty restaurants and shops within waking distance also. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. We will surely consider staying here during our next visit to Xian."

"Very nice property. In-suite decor is up to par with other Sofitel properties. Can’t say the same about common areas. Some restaurant staff can use a bit more training, for example changing plates for guests when the plates are full. Good location. Inside the city wall and close to sites in the old city."

"Excellent hotel, with friendly helpful staff in a geat location, let down by the breakfast. In the three days we stayed there non of the hot food western style (bacon, eggs, sausages, beans, mushrooms, etc.) was even warm. The buffet food was cold. Shame for a Westin as they are generally a good hotel."

"We had a wonderful, amazing trip and we were so happy with this hotel. The location is extremely convenient, within easy reach of all the famous city landmarks, including the Bell Tower, and Muslim quarter. The buffet breakfast was incredible, with really delicious food. Every member of staff was warm and friendly, and they surprised us with a couple of nice little gifts during our stay. Our room was very spacious, fitted with big windows. Lots of natural light flooded in, making the room bright and open. It had a really unique, pleasant atmosphere, a lovely vibe. We highly recommend staying here!"
