"Check-in was confusing, as there was no one at reception on arrival. When I called the provided number, I was instructed to open a locked room that was already occupied by another guest, which was quite concerning. There were also no clear instructions provided for the check-out process. Since my stay, I have been receiving emails stating that payment has not been made. This is incorrect, as I paid in full at the time of booking and have receipts to confirm this."

"The Rivulet was a WONDERFUL surprise. The hotel and room mixed old world charm with modern technology. We were greeted with complimentary port wine and fine chocolates. Then each morning breakfast was an amazing assortment of food and drink, served by helpful staff. If and when we return to Tasmania, we will stay there again!"

"Property is quite dated and really needs a facelift. The bed was only a double and a bit saggy. There were very bright security lights outside the room that were not blocked out by the curtains. Location is lovely and convenient, but the rooms feel tired, old and a bit unkempt."

"Great location for our purpose. Neat rooms recently renovated with modern small unsuite, good bed, cosy doonas, and very quiet effective air-conditioning/heating. The rooms are not sound proof so you could hear noises in other rooms and the hallway at times. Being part of the hotel was great with full bar and bistro facilities. A breakfast pack is available in the room as the hotel only serves breakfast on the weekends. Great cafes just a walk down the road."

We encountered some concerns regarding the plumbing system in the ground floor rooms, specifically the noticeable sound of water usage from the upper floors.
