"My wife found this to be a very basic and quiet place. It could be transformed with a new and nicer kitchen unit and bathroom and matching and clean cutlery and crockery etc. It is nevertheless unique and wonderful. The surroundings are stunning and it is ideally set amongst pine trees not too far from a fantastic beach. Having a little self-contained unit is ideal for children and the price was not excessive, so overall it was still a good choice. "

The best part though was our host, he was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful, providing several restaurants and activity recommendations for the area as well as suggestions for elsewhere on our trip. "The facility was lovely and it's proximity to the Salt Museum ideal. However, I have never been in a hotel room where we could not regulate the temperature before. Apparently, there is a master control and we froze all night. Opening the window to warm up was not an option because of insects, so there was no way to regulate the temperature. Also, the 10 am check out is a bit premature given the isolation -- 11 would be better. The breakfast was excellent. "

"This place was a hidden jewel. The room was big had a balcony had a good hot shower big window to open. The entire place has a wonderful old time charcter had wonderful morning service. The restraunt downstairs was a bonus after traveling it was nice just to be able to go downstairs and have very good food. "

"The Fiveplace Design Suite and Apartments is located in the historic center of Trapani. It’s a very minimalist hotel with very modern, clean and comfortable features. Francesco, the owner and manager, is exceptional! He is very professional and helpful and ensures you have everything you need. This is a great place to stay as you’re in the middle of the shops and walking streets and port, all right there! Great place and kudos to Francesco for his excellent care and professionalism!"

"The hotel, staff, breakfast, bathroom and bedroom were all very good. The poor rating is because it's impossible to get a decent sleep! The stairs up to my room and a cluster of other rooms are made of wood, so when one group of guests came home at 1:05am, I'm woken up just by their footsteps clomping and echoing on the wooden stairs. Then at 3:41am, a family leaves early for the airport, so I'm re-awoken, again by the stairs. No one was rude or yelling or drunk. The design makes it inevitable...
