"This was our first stay at this property which was very conveniently located within Ambleside. We were warmly welcomed at the properly and had a lovely room, very comfortable and smart. There was plenty of space to store clothes and the bathroom and other room. I have only left off a rating for the Eco-friendliness because I wasn’t really paying attention to this aspect of our stay so isn’t really fair to rate. "I stayed in the Helm Crag room which has fantastic views of the surrounding hills. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the shower superb. The whole room is immaculate and super clean. I didn’t want to leave! The owner was very welcoming and helpful and easy to contact if you have any queries. I would recommend highly. "

"Beautiful hotel in a peaceful location. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. We had a spacious room with a large window seat. Loved the bathroom towels which were big and very thick. The bar and dining areas are very inviting. Great breakfast, cooked to order. Wish we were staying longer! "
