Hawkshead lies between Lake Windermere and Lake Coniston. It is the quintessential Lake District village with traditional pubs and whitewashed buildings and has connections to Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Walk from here around Esthwaite Water, to Tarn Hows or through beautiful woodland.

Rooms are a decent size and good facilities. Bar is great with a good selection of beers and spirits. The food is fantastic! I have a dietary requirement and they catered for me and were very knowledgeable of the ingredients in the meals. Thoroughly recommend staying here.
