"The hotel was absolutely beautiful. From the moment you pull into the car park, the grandeur and character are so apparent. The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient. What we loved though was it wasn't "stuffy and formal". The room itself was very clean, light and modern and had the best views over the gardens and fells. The bed was super comfy with good quality furnishings. Would definitely go back. "
