"In general I rank Hampton Inns as the basic acceptable level of hotel I will use. The breakfast, OK, something there that most everyone will find acceptable. Room furnishing were good, chairs and bed were comfortable. It seems trivial but I appreciate a cloths hanger which can be removed from the rod. An improvement would be a hand held shower head. There seemed to be a faint scent of cleaning product, perhaps carpet cleaner? Bed linens seemed to have a scent but most people would not notice. The shower drain wasn't able to remove full flow from the shower flow as water built up in the tub. In general no major complaint but nothing great to 'write home' about. I travel a fair amount but most stays are not in the USA these days. You never know what you will get and I typically only stay at a specific hotel once so in the US if there is a Hampton around that is often my first choice. I wasn't looking for night life, fine dining or to impress anyone, just a spot to spend a couple of nights before moving on. "

"As usual when I visit Charlottesville, this hotel was impeccable. Exceeded all my expectations again. I keep waiting every time I go there to have an experience where something goes wrong and it never does. One of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at in the staff are some of the nicest and most helpful staff I have ever encountered in all my travels. Just off the main road secluded just enough for peace and quiet, but stores are in walking distance, including Chick-fil-A. The area is safe and extremely clean. This is the only hotel that I will stay at in Charlottesville, Virginia anymore. With all my business trips,this causes me so much less stress. This place is definitely a must stay."

"Did not have the breakfast . The parking was good and totally safe. I just got a credit card charge that is $100 dollars, exactly, higher that the quoted rate. I did charge 2 bottles of water to the room but that was all. "

"It was a pretty good stay, a body pillow would’ve made the stay better. Shower pressure was a little low and a hand held shower head would help with the low pressure so you could get the soap off better. It is nice having the complimentary bath supplies. $6 for a bottle of water is a little steep so I didn’t partake of it. I like fancy water but that was a little excessive. I will stay again if needed in Charlottesville it’s a good location and feels pretty safe with the lighting at night. "
