"A great place to stay, clean, convenient and quiet location, close to supermarket. We were given an upgrade to a spacious renovated room upstairs. Some other renovations are going on in the property. Microwave oven, toaster, kettle and cutleries are provided adequate to have a simple meal in room. Guest laundry is available for use. Towels are nice and soft. "

"Location is great, rooms are well sized, beds are comfy but the standout are the newly renovated pools! Large main pool, spa and a kids pool (waist deep for our 3 and 5yr olds) that also has a fountain in the middle. Kids would’ve been swimming all day if we let them. Only bad thing is they close at 6pm… 8pm would be ideal "

From the outside, it looked like it might star in a retro horror film called Motel Misery. BUT—big but here—the moment we stepped inside, all our fears vanished faster than free Wi-Fi on a family road trip. The rooms? Spotless. Clean, comfy beds that didn’t feel like they were borrowed from a 1980s hospital...

"The stay at the Captain at the bay is awesome especially the bath tub is just beside the bed. After a long day of travel on the great ocean road, it is a best place to relax. The breakfast was nice and the hotel staff is friendly."
