"My husband booked this hotel because he thought it was cool that it was an older building and the rooms were only in the 2nd and 3rd floor above a bar & restaurant. "It’s a clean and newer hotel, so that’s nice. Staff kindness and amenities offered are bare minimum, they don’t go out of their way as far as “hospitality”. No housekeeping services, no pool, no fridge or microwave in room. For the price point I would go elsewhere next time."

"Clean and courteous staff"

"Quiet, clean room. Breakfast was excellent."

"I did not feel safe staying here. The room smelled like stale cigarettes. There was not much left of a lumpy mattress. The walls were so thin I didn’t get much sleep. A homeless guy in a wheelchair was right outside my door when I left one time."

"The actual room was ok. Clean and with the amenities one would expect. But the hotel is situated in a seedy neighborhood. Outside the hotel there are enough homeless people with visible mental health problem roaming around - at some point one guy was emptying the trash right outside the hotel shouting various things. I think it gave my 14 y.o. daughter a renewed appreciation for where she lives. "

"First of all, we were booked and put in a smoking room, I’m guessing because we booked through Expedia. We had 2 rooms and they were both booked as smoking. Multiple calls were just met with no non-smoking rooms are available. One whole day we had to experience a jack hammer or air hammer breaking of concrete in the room above us. This went on for 8 hours. Couldn’t stay in the room. Calling the desk resulted in we’re at full capacity and can’t move you, and are unable to refund room charges...

"It is run down, very smoky (even in non-smoking rooms) and overall just an old hotel. We had a ridiculously bad experience with the check in for the party who we were traveling with and we were woken up several times at very late hours unnecessarily due to staff incompetence who gave them the key to our room and then called security. Not a great experience overall. "

"The Element is a great hotel for Reno. Their breakfast was amazing! The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. The bar was fabulous as well. The hotel does a lot of little things for the guests which was appreciated such as a happy hour, water and coffee available anytime. The only draw back is the hotel is located on a busy street so it can be loud in the evening."

We didn’t have any interaction with the housekeeping staff other than getting clean towels. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast staff was very accommodating. The only thing negative in the room was I didn’t have a very comfortable chair and there was no counter space in the bathroom."
