We had a lovely room, with a nice big bed so that was great. Everything was clean so far as I could tell. Room was a bit hot, but then hotel rooms often are and this wasn't as bad as many. What let the hotel down was the breakfast, which for me is an absolutely crucial part of any hotel stay. I paid £13.95 each (I didn't book this with the hotel room, because for some reason, a room with breakfast was £33 extra than the room by itself, so I figured I might as well save myself a fiver and book breakfast when I got there) and it was one of the poorest buffet selections I have had at any equivalent hotel. No prunes, a rather limp fruit salad, a limited range of cereals (no granola) and only those little boxes so I couldn't mix a few, no ability to do your own toast (which resulted in a lot of waste I would think as most people didn't eat a whole rackful), very limited selection of jams at first (I had to ask for some strawberry), but you did have to go and get your own hot drinks in tiny cups, whereas I would have preferred a pot. The hot food was fairly good, though when I initially went up for mine there were no hash browns or fried eggs, so I had to wait quite a while. There were no veggie alternatives to the sausages and bacon, but I didn't ask about this, so I will give the benefit of the doubt that I could have. I know I'm being very picky with all this, but £13.95 is hardly cheap, so I would expect a decent selection of stuff.
