"Beautiful chalet hotel at the base of Mont Blanc. Access to hundreds of hiking trails within a few minutes. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent and the service was great. "Beautiful old village in the gorgeous alps near around Mont Blanc. Beautiful drive up the winding roads. Clean, quiet, lovely friendly staff, easy free parking, in the town of St.-Germain-Les-Bains. The room was huge and had a nice balcony we could look out over another village down in the valley. We did not take the breakfast but it looked nice. We drove 20" to Chamonix to take the gondola (telepherique). Totally worth the ticket price to go to the top! Astonishing beauty and history....

"Check-in time is at 4pm. Staff comes in at that time. Breakfast starts at 8am. The staff that is there to check-in and provide service till 8pm was very helpful and friendly. Rooms are small as it seems to be geared for the skiers. Good location once you get there. Without a car directions are deceiving and the walk is long with trailing luggage. Try to get the bus from the train station which will take you up the mountain (it’s free). This bus can also take you to other near by towns (such as...

"Cannot recommend. Very stuffy hot room overlooking a carpark. No air conditioning so slept with noisy fan. Horrible dirty walls with lots of quashed mosquitoes from previous guests. Beds uncomfortable with low quality pillows, plastic under sheets and empty toiletries in bathroom. Avoid - much better places in the area."

Staff so welcoming, breakfast buffet abundant with fresh in season fruit, breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, pastry and even a clever way to make your own soft or hard cooked eggs! "Great location, beautiful views, very clean, friendly staff & comfortable beds. The only things that we didn't love were that the shower ceiling was slanted and very low. Anyone taller than 5'9" would have to be careful not to bump their head. The light over the dining area was also very low, we all bumped our heads on it. The terrace doors are large and light but there wasn't a way to keep them closed while out on the terrace. The seals on the terrace doors also weren't tight, might be a bit...
