Really disappointed that the bar was closed because their bartender called in and they didn’t have anyone to cover. It was the whole reason why we chose to stay here for one night.

A woman staff member at the lobby desk was incredibly helpful. She showed real empathy for us when we had arrived a day early unintentionally and she worked quickly to get our room available that day. Her helpful recommendations for the Grand Canyon National Park were spot on. Efficiency Extraordinaire! Our only regret is we didn’t get her name. She was at the desk the afternoon of April 23, 2024. I'm hoping you can identify and commend her within your organization.

The first frustration was that management imposes a $75 charge on your credit card to cover "incidentals" and refunds it after your stay if you don't have room charges, This seems excessive and unnecessary for an upscale hotel that charges over $300 per night. We ate in their main restaurant and were also disappointed. Some of the salad lettuce was wilted, they don't offer any bread options, and the steak was below average in flavor. I expected better from an upscale restaurant that charges accordingly. Overall the hotel is very nice with these issues that should be easily addressed,

Very cool lodge-like feel with comfortable & pleasant rooms, a great restaurant, and enjoyable pool/spa. The fitness center looked nice, too. Super convenient park access and easy return from the South Rim in the evening. A tasty pizza place (“We Cook”) with local craft beer, and a cool, woodsy looking Starbucks are just up the road a short ways (walkable in ~10 min.). Hot coffee in the lobby too, and friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Rooms were nice, but dated, showing wear & tear. Pricey for the overall condition. Bathtub did not drain properly. Pricey for the overall condition. Real coffee cups, instead of paper cups was a great touch. Restaurant was very expensive which seemed the case for surrounding restaurants and required reservations. Breakfast buffet was average for the high price. Staff was very friendly! Overall it was a good stay.

This hotel is within walking distance - with sidewalks - of shops and restaurants. It is in the small town right outside the GCNP gates. We would stay here again. We took advantage of the 'saloon' one night for a later dinner and we did the breakfast buffet one morning. The dining atmosphere is nice in both. The lobby is small but neat and they have coffee available every early morning. We were just turned off by the lack of cleanliness to our room when we arrived. Lots of hair and dust. Hair on the shower walls and dusty bathroom cabinets and room clock and phone. ICK. I had some lysol wipes so thank goodness for that!

The property is lovely. For whatever reason, the hotel was understaffed, so eating in the restaurant could be an issue. I am guessing because of understaffing, the room had not been dusted in a very long time. I heard another guest complain about the same thing at the desk. The extras were very nice.

This hotel obviously has a high turnover rate of guests because of its location. Even though the general spaces are supposedly updated, it’s tired and worn out. My room was very clean. Not the best mattress. I checked ahead of time to make sure there was charging for my electric car and when I arrived it was not in service because it hadn’t been set up yet. Food was okay. Staff was overall friendly. Coffee at breakfast was good which is usually not the norm at a hotel buffet. If there is no line at Grand Canyon NP entrance, you are literally 10 mins away.

The property was in a great location and parking was abundant and free. That’s about all the good I can say. The rooms are very cramped (for the price), the shower leaks and there was water damage in our bathroom. The restaurant was TERRIBLE, we tried to eat at the saloon for the cheaper food options only to be told they were out of most things we asked for. I ordered 6 chicken wings and only received five, and they tasted like they had been microwaved. The mattress was very uncomfortable and the HVAC unit under the window was very loud and kept us up during the night. Would not recommend.

Lovely property. Attentive staff. There was a suprise snowfall and the helped visitors clean cars. However. The rooms are tight for the price. The bathroom could use a fan. And lastly do not eat it in the restaurant was $$$, and the food was over microwaved. Did not expect that for the price.

Very. Convenient to the Grand Canyon while not having to stay in the park. Very comfortable- dining choices could be better, expanded. The casual pub food was nothing special and was overpriced, and the steakhouse had a very limited, expensive menu. Lovely gift shop and updated room accommodations were very comfortable. I didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on it, but nice to have available.

Love the property & amenities. The check in process was quite a disaster. We checked in online before and the room said it was ready, so we headed out of the Grand Canyon Park thinking we were heading to the room and to eat. When we arrived to the hotel, it was not ready and were told it would be 40 minutes. We had our bags all ready to get up to our room and head to the restaurant downstairs with hungry kids in tow. We checked our bags at the front desk and waited for a confirmation call (mind you we were given no call tag or anything to retrieve our bags- they just wrote down our last name and room number). 45 minutes later we got the call the room was ready & went to retrieve our bags. We were told by a man behind that without a call tag we would not be given our bags… after 30 minutes of arguing and trying to prove they were in fact our bags, the worker finally went to look for them. We were told we had to fill out an incident report. The hotel is completely at fault for miscommunication and complete inconvenience. We lose around an hour plus of our one night stay.

The gift shop was excellent. The steakhouse dinner was good; but I expected a medium steak to be pink on the inside, not red. Also the stuffed baked potato was not stuffed as much as it was sprinkled. I expected chives, bacon, cheese and sour cream on the potato. I also expected the potato to be baked all the way through. This was a ghost of a baked potato. Breakfast the next morning was a buffet. The scrambled eggs were cold, there was no bacon, the hash browns were skimpy. McDonald's provides a better breakfast. The room was clean and the appointments were excellent. It would be great if the food quality matched the room and gift shop quality.

First, the positive. Parking was convenient, check in was easy, and the property is very clean. The not so positive, for the price and the online ratings for this property, we were a little disappointed. It is a beautiful property and probably is just aging out. We booked a king room and the mattress was very uncomfortable, had a hard ridge in the middle of the bed and saggy on the sides. We had a second floor room, and it snowed heavily the night before. The roof is metal and as the snow melted and dropped down from the 3rd floor it made a loud noise literally every few minutes (like someone slamming a door) that lasted most of the day. Also, the breakfast buffet advertised chicken fried steak, and we the first morning we were told there was none, that the menu was chef's choice. The second day we were told the same thing, so maybe chicken fried steak is not ever served? Take note, lunch is not served at all, so if you want to eat lunch you don't have an option at the hotel. That would have been important information to have, especially on a snowy day. Also, dinner is by reservation only, and the restaurant was not staffed to serve very many people. We went downstairs at 6 pm with 4 people and there were maybe 20 people in the restaurant, and were told we would need to come back at 7:45 pm. So onsite dining options are very limited, and the quality of the food is average. Would have expected more for a booking of almost $500 a night.

Visibly dirty. And when I saw dirty know it was really dirty. The onsite dining was revolting and 10x the cost of the fine dining we had in Scottsdale and Sedona. Very very disappointing
