Eg: even the nicer rooms only have one sink, the gym was terrible, the towels felt threadbare etc. That said, dinner in their restaurant was fun (mostly because of the friendly service) and they have some nice art around the property."

I wouldn't pay the full rack rate. It's a great throwback to the old two story motels where every door opens to the outside.
