We had a perfect 3 night stay at the Granite. The suite is an amazing big suite and beautifully decorated in traditional colours. The bed is super comfy and large. The location is perfect and walking distance to all the streets art and other attractions. The rooftop pool is making and great views over the city and the roof top bar, just tops it all. I can highly recommend hiring a tuk tuk bicycle ride at night. We had the best night with our rider taking us round the street art through little India upto the sea front. It really made our stay in Penang perfect. Go up the hill also, we spent over 5 hours up the hill and loved the walks and cooler air. Our only regret is we didn’t have longer in Penang. Thank you Granite hotel and Penang we will be back some day.

They should drop the word luxury from the name, it isn’t luxury, but it is good, good location, safe, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast was free so ok, but I wouldn’t pay for it. Room was large, plenty space. We had no toilet paper, had to go and ask, but they brought it up. Mugs and glasses were provided, but no way to wash them, and they weren’t replaced at all during our stay The rooftop bar was disappointing as it is quite expensive. Go next door to the Wembley instead, bar is higher and prices much more reasonable.

Had a very bad first day check-in with property unable to combine my beds for baby and still wanted to charge extra. Booked breakfast but was told booking did not include breakfast. Asked them to call by by 7am to confirm but did not on the first morning. Luckily expedia confirmed my breakfast. Was shocked it was not a freeflow buffet. On the last day, reception called and lied checkout time is 11am. We rushed with toddler down and forgot several items. Was very angry and asked why they had an earlier check out and then reception said checkout is 11am-12noon. Whilst I understand the need to clean the rooms, they have 2-3hrs to do it. Do not understand the rush. Luckily Ika managed to find the items for us else we would have lost about $150 worth of items in the rush. There is also a renovation going on on 11th floor and swimming pool. We would have liked the rooms if service was much better as the hotel is in excellent location opposite shopping malls.

Hotel lobby is spacious, inviting and pleasing. Room is new and in excellent condition, also very clean. Hotel location is great as you can easily walk to popular eateries within 10-20 mins taking into consideration traffic jams during peak hours. However, do note that only suites come with a coffee machine which is not welcome by me as I need my cup of kopi o kosong to start my day. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay for your vacation!!

If you plan on sleeping between 8pm and 12 midnight it will not happen as there is a karaoke music bar, very noisey and constant every night. When you book there will be no mention of the bar or noise created by it, you get the pleasure of finding out on your first night of holiday.

This is a high rise hotel with great view of Georgetown, Penang Island in Malaysia. View at night with nice breeze was beautiful. Our room was spacious with nice amenities, clean and good water pressure showers! Staff for parking was helpful and friendly as you park the car in an automatic vertical elevator and as guest given a card to access car at anytime via free validation card. Parking staff also got early morning cab for non urgent clinic appt nearby. There are signs for “restaurant” but found out restaurant still a “work in progress.” Lots of restaurants nearby, street hawker food stalls, shopping mall, coffee shops, buses, etc. A must to see is the infinity pool on top floor! WOW! One part of pool the bottom is glass so you can look straight down to ground level. 😅

For a property claiming to be luxury, there is definitely a lack of ammenities. Laundry facilities supposed to on site on their website but was told it is no longer available. Location is close to transport and food.

Every time need to validate parking ticket and Reception is at level 14. Only 2 lifts serving the whole hotel block. Bell Boy service only available after 12noon. Inroom facilities like drinking water only only 1 small bottle perday, laundry only provide 1 no's. perstay. Very small lobby which unable to handle if 3-4 room check in/out at once. Security is good as no outsiders can access Without room key car at the lift .

Very strategic, great for family and easy access. Only issue for us was parking.. its a automated elevator parking system where there always isnt enough space to straighten your big and longer car to enter the car lift correctly. Also doesnt always work when retrievibg cars which sometimes needed an attendant to go into the restricted area to activate.something, and when you left something in your car, you will need to drive it out, u turn and go back in. Apart from this we love this place.

Very large rooms at reasonable prices. Business suite is very conducive even for meetings if need be. Most amenities are provided in the room and others may be available upon request. Only caveat is that there are many switches in the room including those that power the air conditioner and the water heater and it is not easy to figure out what is for what.
