The room had a strange stale smell, like it hadn’t been used for a while. Location was great, the staff was very helpful, and a nice breakfast included. Overall, 4 out of 5.

Site and top view are amazing. Nice breakfast, kind staff. Just the hot water is very temperamental. I am still grateful for the stay there. Thank you very much.
Staff was courteous. Room was basic, but good sized. Years of smoking can be detected in the room, but lots of windows to open to air it out. Now closer to a two star hotel than a three.
Downtown hotel located next to the train station up a little bit on the hill side, useful to know if you have to carry luggage around. Clean interior and rooms with a terrific view over the area. Great breakfast!

I loved this hotel. Perfectly situated above the plaza and train station and at the end of the street, full of restaurants and things to see and do and a great view and wonderful staff and convenient and clean and an excellent value for the money. I loved this hotel. I stay at three star hotels to five star hotels and this was the perfect hotel for the visit to Genoa Italy.

Great location
The location of this place is ideal if you come in by train. Close walking distance to almost everywhere. It’s an older place but kept up well. WiFi and air conditioning work well. Breakfast is delicious
The location is excellent, right in front of the train station. The owner was very nice and explained everything properly. Th thing that wasnt good is the smell, there is a lot of humidity in the building walking down the hallways, once you are in the room it is not noticeable. The other thing that would be appreciated is a bit more variety in the breakfast but you can tell the parents of the owner are in charge and being an older couple it must be hard for them, they do their best and it is very well appreciated, maybe try to just add some eggs and ham at least.

Disliked: Amenities
Good location and decent rooms. There was no parking as advertised, reception advised using the parking lot next door or street parking. When we foind out they wanted 25 euro for one night, we parked on the street much to the annoyance of the parking attendant.Next morning our car had been vandalised, strangely although none others parked around us were.Pretty sure it was retribution for not paying the 25 euros.
I general, the hotel didnt seem much interested in helping and were not very welcoming.

Fine
Room was good, had a really nice balcony, but only one chair outside? Kinda strange. Staff was very underwhelming, we only got any info if we asked for it, like when breakfast was served e.g. Didn’t even bother to give us the wifi code at checkin, only asked for ID, which they wanted us to leave at the desk? Now they would be more environmentally friendly, if they actually followed their own advice. They put on the mirror “Thousands of towels get washed everyday, please leave towels you will reuse on the rack, and we wont replace”, but even when we did that, they still replaced the towels everyday. They also removed soapbars that were used once or twice, and replaced with new plasticwrapped bar soap. Would be a lot better with refillable soaps. Also the shower was so tiny, and no shelves, so you had to bend over in a very weird way to reach your shampoo etc. Has a very nice location, right next to the station.

The room was very basic but clean. The beds were not very comfortable due to thin mattresses. The hotel advertised AC, but it is not used during the spring. For this reason, we slept with the window open & heard noise all night long from cars & sirens. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay. It was a delicious buffet. The location is also a plus... near the train station and cruise port. Not bad for a one-night stay, but I wouldn't recommend more (especially if you're hot-natured or asthmatic like me).
I stayed only one night, but the personal was very nice, the room was very clean and the breakfast was consistent. If I turn back one day, this will be the hotel where I wanna check.
It is a run down place, has an unpleasant interior, furniture, blankets; everything is gloom and old. A lot of stairs up to elevator that was going some repairs. It is definitely requires a lot of cleaning and polishing before claiming a rating of 3 stars *** hotel 🏨
