Kid Friendly Hotels in Gateshead

"Nice, clean comfortable hotel. Easy to access from the A1. Location is in the middle of a shopping area with several retail parks and a shopping centre. The only fault I found was the restaurant wasn't open during the week. Food was served in the bar, which is too small to accommodate everyone who wants to eat. It would be very simple to allow people to sit in the restaurant area and bring bar food to them there, rather than be frustrated waiting for a table."

"Great hotel in a good location. Helpful stafff. Spacious and comfortable room. Only issue was that the restraunt was closed due to a private party until quite late. Wasn't informed during checkin which would have been nice. Plenty of places to eat across the river though."

"We arrived a couple of hours early and the girl on reception was so helpful in getting us a couple of rooms that were available to enable us to check in early. The Hotel was in a good location with great bar used for meals and breakfast very good selection of food on both menus. We would certainly stay at Sandman again on our next trip down to Newcastle."

"We had a great weekend visiting Newcastle and staying here. Sadly on the first night of our stay our room was just too hot and the AC unit wasn’t working and we couldn’t get the temperature down. Thankfully the staff moved us the next day and the best room was perfect. The service hotel and facilities were fantastic!"
