"Our stay at the Mandeville was outstanding. The main reason for this was the concierge, Said. He helped me so much, especially with my wheelchair, recommendations, hailing taxis, and anticipating my needs as I am mobility challenged. He's worth the stay there! The rest of the staff was also efficient and friendly, the hotel is nicely located close to everything, and the room was very clean. I'll stay there anytime I'm in London!"

Coffeee machine in the lobby was an added bonus. The perfect hotel in a perfect location. Just 2-mins walk to Gloucester Road tube, a 5-min walk to Kensington High Street and Gardens. "We stayed in a Presidential Suite which was very spacious and comfortable. Some of the appliances were a bit dated and you have to step into the bath to take a shower but overall the accommodation was great. The hotel is close to Earls Court station which was also a bonus. "This might just be the worst hotel I’ve stayed in in the past 20 years. Had to wait more than an hour to get the front door unlocked, the host is an 86-year-old man who should have retired years ago. The lobby was very dirty, thick layers of dust on every surface, un-vacuumed carpets, he wouldn’t accept a credit card and refused to show us the room till we fetched the money from a bank in the area. "My daughter and I recently returned from a 7 night stay. The Mitre House is everything we wanted. I read the reviews extensively before booking and we were prepared. The Mitre House is excellent value! - First and foremost the location can't be beat. The proximity of Paddington Station and Hyde Park is very convenient. - The breakfast was fantastic and the lovely staff were a delight each morning. It was so easy to eat a full English breakfast in the hotel before heading out for the day. It is very expensive to eat in London. - The front desk staff were pleasant and responsive to any of our needs. - The restaurants in the area are very close and there is a wide variety to choose from. - The hotel is old so be prepared for this. Our room with 2 twin beds was small but we knew that going in, it didn't matter to us as we spent very little time there. We enjoyed the old charm of the building, it has a lot of character. - The elevator is slow but who cares! You are on vacation. We stayed on the 4th floor and always went down via the stairs. - The room was clean and had everything we needed - extra pillows and blankets, a hairdryer and a very good shower. This was my daughter and my first visit to London. It is very expensive to stay in London and I did my research before booking.
