"The car park was a secure gated area for hotel patrons only which I found to be a massive plus for York. As car parks in York, in my opinion, all seem to be hidden away and often some distance away from most of the accommodations as well as being quite expensive for overnight stays. The receptionists were cheerful, friendly and helpful, which after a two and a half hour drive was a very welcome sight. "Very sweet and helpful woman at the front desk at check in. They noted our party would like to be adjacent and saved us connected rooms. Check in was quick and easy except their form requires 4 signatures per room which was a lot of signing after. A long trip. Our courtyard room was spotless, quiet and comfortable. "The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Lovely to have a fridge in yhe room. Staff were very helpful & friendly. A lovely one night stay whilst attending a wedding party. £5 parking fee, not excessive but no mention about this when booking. Might as well just add £5 to the room rate and not have those unsightly signs everywhere. "
