Such a great spot for a short stay.. affordable, comfortable, and very well-kept. The building itself is a bit older, but everything is clean and clearly well maintained. You can hear a bit of noise from outside at times, but nothing that felt disruptive, though I imagine it could be a little busier during peak season. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the reception area feels fresh and updated. A highlight for me was the restaurant, Lola on the water, delicious food, a beautiful pool, and a relaxing canal view that really elevates the experience. Only 5 min walk to Pompano Beach! Overall, I’d rate it a solid 9/10. A great choice if you’re looking for a charming independent hotel.

Actually, they had to relocated me and my guest... BUT they took good care of us. They made the reservation to a sister resort/hotel nearby. We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott which was no issue to us and 1.1 miles from The Sand Resort. The cost I pre-paid stayed the same. Hopefully, I'll get to experience it during my next stay in Pompano Beach ⛱️.....

The hotel is tired and needs some love . We stayed in the “Penthouse” which was a basic hotel room on the top floor. There is no maid/cleaning service . When we called down to inquire , we were told “you’re not at the Marriott”. The saving grace was that the restaurant and pool bar ( Lola) were great

The staff here was AWESOME! Brittany at the front desk was amazing and truly went above and beyond. She was very professional, accommodating, and kind. We loved the outdoor pool space especially! It was super convenient to be able to order food and drinks from the restaurant while relaxing by the pool. The location was also great- walkable to the pier/beach and some restaurants and stores.

The staff was very nice. The room was very clean and spacious. Only down side about the room was that the walls are thin, I was trying to sleep and heard children crying and screaming for hours because they didn’t want to go to bed. The views were beautiful and the restaurant down stairs was great too!
