"It was a pleasant experience. I happened to be staying there when hurricane Sally hit. My room stayed fine. However, the lobby was damaged by the winds and rain, lost power and water. The staff and manager on hand were excellent. They didn’t act frazzled or anxious. They took care of matters and us guests. I really enjoyed the history of the hotel, too. "

She was very personable. There were a good many patrons in the breakfast area - she never hesitated, was confident and reassuring.
