"FANTASTIC - there are no words - located on the other side of the river - away from the hustle of downtown Florence and walking distance (10 min) from Ponte Vechio and Santa Croce. We basically had a small apartment. It was magnificent and it’s right below Plaza Michelangelo - when you go, make sure you reserve at the Osteria right behind the hotel"

"I believe at one point, some time ago, this was a 4 star “resort”. Not anymore. Our A/C did not work and they could not fix it while we were there. No real bar area and would have to give them a period of time to use the spa (to heat things up). Staff was friendly and did what they could. "

"Staff is courteous and helpful. Fratelli Briganti restaurant near by, definitely worth a visit. However, this is NOT a hotel. Staff is there only 9am-8pm. And the tram ride to the center is OK but not the highlight of Florence. If you want to cram many people into an apartment, or save money by cooking yourself, this is a great choice. But if you are in Florence for tourism and can afford a hotel at the center, it is a better choice. "
