"It's a lovely guesthouse in a former school building, with a small room but a comfortable common area and a well stocked kitchen. Beautiful views of the fjord. The area is a bit isolated--just a tiny village, and it takes over an hour to get there from the main road by a steep winding dirt road. We hiked up the hill, but the trail isn't well maintained. It's a great place for peace and quiet, but not as a base for exploring the eastern fjords."

"The hostel is good. The rooms are equipped with the essentials and are mostly clean. The common areas could have been cleaner though. The kitchen is not so well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helped immediately with any problems. I would recommend the hostel for a short stay."

"This was my favorite stay during my week long vacation in Iceland. The room was beautiful and large. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was top notch. The view from the balcony was lovely. I enjoyed having an unobstructed view of the water. Plus the puffins were only a ten minute drive away. The on site restaurant was delicious, we ate there both nights we stayed. "My wife and I just loved this place. We stayed in the room #7. New, clean, well decorated, quiet, peaceful. Very cool interacting with other guests during the delicious breakfast. Marcia, the Portuguese lady that works there was very kind and nice. We do recommend this place!"
