Helpful staff, the room was very cozy and clean. We saw Aurora Borealis from this place as it is situated a bit far from the city so there was absolutely no light pollution. They have all the amenities so didn't miss being away from the city. Would love to come back. The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty but the breakfast was filling.

The location of this hotel fits our trip perfectly. It did not look charming from the outside but it is very cozy inside with country style decorations and family atmosphere. Room is clean, bed comfortable and it's quiet. Breakfast is simple but nice. Hotel staff are knowledgeable about the area and very helpful. There's a self service gas station next to the hotel which is very convenient. Highly recommend this hotel if you need to stop by for overnight stay.

We got here 15 minutes before the restaurant was closing and they were still happy to cook for us. We had the best meal we’ve had so far in Iceland here! The Lamb was so flavorful, the potatoes cooked to perfection, great soup and salad too! The room was comfortable and clean. Bed was soft, shower hot and had fantastic water pressure. There was a beautiful waterfall just 2 minutes down the road. It was the perfect stay.

Don’t let the exterior fool you… It’s deceptively charming on the inside! The decor is immaculate and very ornately carved. The restaurant is good, too. Not a fan of the modern style bathroom with half a shower door. There was no TV in our room, but we were too tired to want to watch any TV, anyway.

Don't let the frumpy pictures fool you. Place was incredibly clean, basic and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but perfect. Self service Gas pump down the street if you are traveling CCW.

Very friendly staff, quiet location and close to Studlagil canyon. Dining option is limited but the restaurant at the hotel is good. Breakfast is served included, a big plus since food is expensive in Iceland. Definitely Will stay again in the future.
