La Marquise Luxury Resort Complex

"This hotel is set in nice landscaped gardens.The rooms are spacious.There is plenty of choice of food.The dinning room does struggle to cope with the volume of people at times. The pools are interconnected so were really cold in April.The indoor pool was also cold and full of children cannon balling.Perhaps a kids only time would help.I also think the sauna and steam room should be free. There needs to be a rethink on facilities for teens.There is one table tennis table and one tennis court and one multi court and mini golf.The tennis court cannot be booked between 3 and 5pm as this is quite time so there are really not many slots available.They also need some new balls as they did not bounce. There were also not enough golf balls for each player for the mini golf.The Coffee house is great with nice cakes but understaffed. Overall a nice break and with a bit more attention to detail could be an exceptional hotel. "

Esperos Village Blue & Spa - Adults only

"Lovely hotel, wonderful views - bar and reception staff were excellent. Lots of nice touches and features. If this were a four star hotel I'd be rating it excellent. Gripes: Breakfast had a huge range, but few coherent meals - missing basics like strawberries, bananas (most days), granola. The pool bar staff were lovely, but the cocktails were essentially 11 euro waters. It took 48 hours after requesting it for our private pool to be cleaned - despite us watching them clean pools in empty rooms. Our "skyline view" room had no view of the sky until you went out onto the terrace - the rooms are oddly nested so that your pool and terrace is elevated - so the view from your bedroom is essentially a wall. We went very early on in the season, but it felt like we were a dress rehearsal for the season. We did not take the half board option, and I'm very glad we didn't as the majority of options were buffet dining - which never feels special. We opted to walk 2kms most nights down the main road to restaurants - but appreciate few would want to be doing this, so you're either paying 15 euro taxis to get to restaurants/nightlife or you are accepting you are in one of three venues to dine your entire stay. Overall: it was a perfectly pleasant place. If you just want to switch off and be taken care of then you'll have a fantastic time. It is a 'big' hotel and so it naturally lacks some of the personal touches. It was one of the cheaper 5 stars, but still felt 4 star. "

"Really nice complex, with direct and easy beach access. Relaxed and layed back atmosphere, as the complex is not too crowded. Service and stuff are outstanding, very helpful and friendly. The interiors of the rooms is a bit outdated and shows signs of wear. Still, rooms are very comfortable and very clean, so we enjoyed staying in ours. Overall, highly recommend. "
