I used to live in the neighborhood so I know it's a good hotel in a quality location. The staff was extremely welcoming at check-in. For a more budget friendly hotel option they have a decent bar and restaurant. The room was great too. Comfortable and good sized rooms for New York. AC that cranked out cool air that was wildly appreciated after trekking around the city all day....

"I loved the hotel but I would say I asked for my room to be away from the elevator and I was given a room in front of the elevator. And I had to wait a really long time for a fridge, and lastly the AC wasn’t working at its full potential.."

"The main reason we chose this hotel was for the rooftop. It was closed, yet no one could tell us why, and if and when, it would reopen. I don’t think asking for an explanation was unreasonable. We also asked the concierge to arrange a cab. There was a $20 fee for this service. We walked out to the corner and hailed our own."

"Comfortable, clean hotel at an affordable price! I am a local, and checked in at the last moment, late at night. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. They had a nice free coffee-and-tea corner and a shopping corner with a variety of food and drinks right next to the front desk. The room had plenty of towels and soap, and came with a TV and a fridge. No toothbrushes. The $11 breakfast had a variety of foods and was delicious.
