"We were notified upon check in a shower door was removed as a recent guest broke it. The manager offered to give my family (3 of us) free breakfast for both days of our stay which was more than fair and appreciated (I did not ask for anything)! I am grateful for the hospitality and generosity that was extended to us. The area is less than a mile from the center of old Luzern and we walked. The area is quiet and safe so this was not an issue."

"Family owned hotel and restaurant was a nice touch. Located just outside of Luzern downtown and reachable by train which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Note the train only comes once an hour so plan accordingly. Several walkable restaurants nearby. Staff was very accommodating and helpful and provided travel adapters for free. Breakfast was a nice spread including eggs, cheese, meats and other items. Hotel was very quiet and well kept. Great base for Luzern and the area. "

"Good hotel with straight forward self check-in process. Fairly central in Lucerne. Knocking some points off the cleaniness as there was a kettle used by the previous hotel guest that was not clean (i.e. had cloves and tissue still in the kettle). Once this was reported to the hotel management, they quickly replaced the kettle by the time we came back from our day outing."

"The hotel and staff were great. Friendly and helpful. Hotels.com made two reservations for us when I only needed one. When i called Hotels.com they did not help and I was charged twice. I worked with the staff at the front desk and they were able to sell the extra room and refunded me. Hotel pool was very nice. "

"The room is clean and spacious and only a short walk to the bus stop. The only set back is that there is no visible signboard to locate the apartment when we reached the place. "

"Enjoyed the stay quite a bit. Visited in mid-June. Liked that the room was near but not in Lucerne, which offered an attractive room rate compared to Inns on the lake / downtown. Very easy access to downtown via a (free/included) shuttle stop right outside the hotel. I was able to park my rental car on site for free. The rooms were very nice and clean, had good A/C, and a refrigerator. Didn't try the onsite restaurant but it appeared popular for both guests and locals. No real negatives. Would...
