Very unique hotel. So cool living onboard a floating hotel for the night. The room décor is lovely, as is the rest of the boat, and the staff onboard could not be nicer or more helpful. The breakfast was amazing (smoked salmon starter and full Scottish breakfast) and any time we called for items to be brought to our room, the service was super fast. It is not the cheapest but all in all, an excellent hotel and well worth a visit for a special occasion or just a well earned treat.

We can't rate the Fingal highly enough, 5 stars doesn't do it justice. From the moment you step on board every member of staff helps to give you a unique experience that you will never forget. Your are welcome to explore the whole boat and a member of staff will even accompany you and give you a wonderful explanation of the history of the Fingal. It's the little personal touches and the amazing customer service that just makes it so extra special. The food & cocktails are also deserve a special mention because they too are exceptional. The best ingredients, and prepared with care and attention makes for a wonderful dining and drinking experience.

60th Birthday Celebrations
Had a fab stay at the Fingal to celebrate my brother-in-laws 60th birthday. This place is amazing. The staff go above and beyond and nothing is to much trouble, felt very special from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We will be back in the near future Thank you Fingal staff.

We had an amazing night's stay at The Fingal. The food and service was exceptional. The staff were attentive and made sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely be back, hopefully for 2 nights next time.

Beautifully finished rooms and common areas. Only had breakfast on board so I cant comment on dinner but breakfast was great. Service was excellent all round. Now the Tram runs from just outside the ship into the city centre and beyond to the Airport - get a multiway ticket for a great way to get around. Fingal is not cheap but it's a unique experience so go on treat yourself to a stay - you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing, we were met on the red carpet by an extremely helpful member of the crew our room wasn’t quite ready so indulged in a cheeky drink while waiting. Our bags were delivered to our beautiful room, the added luxury of chocolates, gorgeous lotions and potions, we had a balcony not the weather for sitting out but added to the ambiance. Breakfast was delicious as was the evening meals. Could not fault it in any way. An amazing birthday surprise Thank you to all the crew nothing was too much trouble you were all magnificent. This was a great stay. I was there for my birthday and received a lovely box of chocolates and personalised note in my room. The whole experience was amazing. Great detail and luxury in the whole hotel. Staff were great could not do enough. Drinks in bar were good and the breakfast was superb. Wold definitely recommend this place to stay at least once. I is faultless

The ship is gorgeous and the staff are all so hospitable. Breakfasts are huge and done by table service. Fantastic - hotel of the year in UK well deserved.

A memorable night
Fantastic -Ruy was enthusiastic and warm and very helpful. Our duplex room was fantastic. It made our night very special for my 85 yr old mother. Dinner was delicious as was the breakfast. Tickets to Brittania were a bonus. Overall I’d recommend and will return w/hubby.

A wonderful stay on a truly beautiful ship. The cabins are luxurious, stylish and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the bar, restaurant and sun decks are luxurious and well appointed. The complimentary tickets to Britannia were a surprising bonus. Adding this to my list of favourite hotels in Edinburgh along with the Prestonfield and The Whitchery.

Fantastic location near the water with easy walking to restaurants and Pubs. Tram service to town center is 2 min walk away. The Fingal, a unique and relaxing hotel and is must stay if in Edinburgh. Accommodations, staff, food, and drink are 5 stars all around. Recognizing that there is long term improvement going on in the area, it does not detract from the beauty and history of the area. If shopping is your thing, don't miss the incredible center located in the same center as the must see Royal Yacht Britannia.

A fantastic stay at Fingal. I might even say it’s been one of best 5 star hotels I’ve been to in Scotland. Praise to the wonderful staff, nothing was enough trouble. Thanks again Fingal . We will definitely return.
