"I stayed with my wife and two teenage kids in an executive suite. The location is good. It's a similar distance to Copley and Faneuil Hall. There are many good restaurants and shopping stores close by. Check in was 4pm, arrived at about 3:30 and the room was not ready. Went back up to the front just after 4pm and was told the room still wasn't ready. The front desk confirmed that check in was 4pm but the people before us are elite members and had late checkout at 2pm and it was being cleaned. We were annoyed and confused by this. The front desk said that they would extend our checkout time to accommodate. This didn't please us because we didn't plan to stay past checkout time anyway. The front desk just looked at us like "it is what it is". We were not offered anything while we waited. At 4:48pm we finally got a text that the room was ready. The room was not as nice as I remembered from when my wife and I used to stay a decade ago. The executive suite used to feel lavish. I was no longer impressed. It felt clean but dated.
The kids swam and enjoyed it. My wife and went to the hotel bar later, which wasn't cheap but had a decent drink menu and was hopping at 12pm. The room was quiet aside from my son waking up to the neighbors being very loud in the morning. Checkout was fine. All in all I wouldn't rush back but might return for the right price."
