"It is a quaint little pub with bed and breakfast. The room was quite dated but comfortable. It was clean. The staff were friendly and efficient Breakfast was very good. We did not use the bar facilities."

"For our visit to Sussex we booked the Superior Double Room En-suite. The four poster bed had a very comfortable mattress and the room had adequate furnishings for a five day visit. The en-suite was clean, the shower had a powerful jet and white, crisp towels were provided. Cooked breakfast was excellent and the staff on morning duty were friendly and helpful. On the downside, we experienced a terrible drain backdraft smell each night, overnight from the en-suite (which was reported three times but was not acted upon/resolved). Other small details also lacked attention: the hand-wash bottle had been filled with water, the diffuser in the en-suite had long dried out and needed replacing, and the disposable dehumidifiers had expired. With a little more attention to detail, this accommodation could be perfect."

"Book this lovely, sweet place - don’t pass it by. The sense of calm, beauty and homeliness is evident in every single corner of this house. The host is a very special woman and her two serene, gorgeous dogs are just as special as she is. The house is in the most lovely location in Ardingly village, lots to do here and in the surrounds. I had a wonderful, peaceful stay -and that means everything to me."
