"Staff were lovely, as was breakfast and the bar. But the rooms and decor are the key feature of this hotel and certainly make it unforgettable. Our room and bathroom were not huge but more than adequate and comfortable. The theming of the rooms, corridors, stairways and bar area is amazing, thoughtful, creative and makes this hotel worth a stay for sure, as does the cheeky nature and sense of humour. "No parking as advertised. Staff were very casual - often sat on their phones on the sofa round the corner from the front desk. There was nowhere to hang the shower hose. It was just loose over the bath. They did fix it once I told them, but I would've expected it to have been addressed before my arrival. The windows were a bit broken and there was pigeon mess all over the sills. The view was very derelict. Overall it was ok for a place to lay my head on a work trip, but there's plenty of...

"Staff make the hotel. Had a bath tub toilet combo. Bath was extremely clean. Really pleased as thats how I judge cleanliness. Carpet in the room could have been vacummed more but bed clean, white sheets comfy, not even one stain. Impressed. Asked for a particular room my child is SEN, that was also given with no hassle (obviously within the price range booked). Really happy, kind staff especially room service the staff who delivered breakfast to room 248 on the 26 May. Its our second time...

"Wonderful small hotel in Kemptown. Beautifully presented. Spacious room with side sea view. Separate bath as well shower. Good selection at breakfast. Cocktails in fridge along with fresh milk for tea and coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Very short walk to beach, a bit further into the centre of Brighton. Highly recommend"
