"The restaurant staff was nice and friendly. A few individuals in the store and towel station near the kiddie pool not so much. i had a full pool view and partial ocean view. my room was a nice size. The only thing i did not like was that i had my do not disturb sign on the door … and yet i was still disturbed lol. Two staff members actually walked in even though I said no thank you multiple times when they knocked. I would suggest you do your souvenir shopping at the airport. Prices in the hotel store were a little pricey. We did a photoshoot 5 minutes away from the hotel and transportation was $50 for that… and we wanted to go shopping about 45 minutes away and that was $150. The souvenirs we purchased were much cheaper at the airport. just a little tip for travelers. "

I had a solo trip from the time I got here, but within the two days i was by myself, a sense of comfort and trust with given at this resort. overall very safe within this property. people are friendly, breathtaking views-definitely on planing another stay at the Riu. Most importantly, Entertainment is truly amazing "

"The room was good size with the balcony. There is the small fridge with mini bar inside the room. Because of limited availability, some drinks were not replenish whole stay even when we asked. There was a limited ocean view from the room. The room was cleaned daily. The pool is good size and very clean. Bars at the pool and in the lobby always had some ingredients for drinks missing. Staff in the hotel is excellent. If you like the Caribbean Sea with nice and clean waters this hotel not for you. Bottom of the sea is completely covered with sea grass so you can not swim and enjoy the waters. The Greek and Aunt Ruby restaurant were good. Buffet was average. Average Hotel should have 3.5 stars. "

"Only 1 restaurant open, it rained one night and water came into the room from the ac and roof that flooded the bedroom floor causing my daughter to fall and hurt her knee and elbow as she got off the bed, i reported this to the stuff and all they did was to clean the floor. outdated infrastructure, small rocky beach making unsuitable to swimming , and inconsistent food quality. Old and stained loungers, and poor water pressure . Stray cats in dining areas, children play area grounds are unkempt with debris making it dangerous for children. This felt mostly like a Motel or an unkempt camp rather than a resort. The nanny services was the primary draw but i was very disappointed because our assigned nanny did not make any effort to make a connection either us but rather was socializing with another family she wasn’t assigned to."

"Loved the vegetable gardens, the friendly staff and our spacious clean room with our very private balcony. Good food and lovely grounds as well as seeing the resident peacock at meals made our stay very special. So happy not to be at one of those 5star all inclusives."
