Very private...

Villa in Blue was a good choice because it was very private, tucked away in a quiet annex area of Sea Dreams Resort. But connectivity was the trade off for privacy. Would not have been an issue except we had to coordinate plans with our local driver-guide. Our sea view room on the ground floor was perfectly positioned, with the option to use our porch access as front door. The room was clean and spacious, but I would have preferred more seating options. A 2-seater couch would have been nice. The water was less than 10 m from the room, but there wasn't much of a beach to speak of. It was rocky. So even though the water was clear and inviting in the marine sanctuary, it was a struggle to get in. Food options were also scarce, because other than the hotel restaurant, there is nothing within walking distance from the resort, and transportation was a slight problem because flagging down a tricycle along the main road just outside the resort was something left too much to chance. But we managed to resolve these issues with some advanced planning. All in all, we had a wonderful 5-night stay and I would recommend Villa in Blue to friends.

두마게티는 좋았지만 호텔은 별로..

주변에 아무것도 없고 호텔 앞 바다는 수영하기에 절대 적합하지 않습니다. 바이크 렌탈비는 최소 600페소부터 시작하고 두마게티 시내보다 두배정도 비쌉니다. 아침식사 또한 말라타파이에 있는 식당과 비슷한 메뉴임에도 두배정도 비쌌고 또한 빌라인블루는 별채로 수영장과 식당 등과 멀리 떨어져있어 조용하지만 불편하고 저녁 10시정도에는 정원에 불빛도 일제히 소등을 해서 핸드폰 불빛을 의지해서 겨우 다녀야했습니다. 방에 전화기도 없어서 룸서비스등을 이용하려면 휴대전화를 이용해서 전화를 하거나 리셉션까지 걸어가서 부탁해야합니다. 대략 리셉션이나 식당까지는 150미터정도 떨어져있습니다. 장점이라면 조용하고 새로 지은 건물이라 깨끗한 편입니다. 하지만 다시 다우인에 간다면 여기에는 머물지 않을겁니다. 아무리 늦은 밤이라도 최소한 정원에 길 안내등이라도 켜놓아야 하는것 아닌가요? 배려가 너무 부족합니다.

Best food In the Philippines

A nice place to stay, very reasonably priced. This was the second time we have visited and the highlight again is the restaurant, very well trained waiting staff and the best food we have eaten in the Philippines.... excellent. Thank you.

Blue Villa in Dauin

This is a nice place with a beautiful setting. The staff was friendly and helpful. They do charge for everything and it is probably a wee bit more expensive because of that than other comparable locations. WiFi was flaky.
