"The hotel was clean but needs a revamping like new carpet and paint also sone upto date furniture. Didn't see much ofvthe staff as theyvwas mostly behind the bar Good location plenty of bars and restaurants nearby "

"To be fair the building has great potential but needs a bit ( lot) of TLC & money to upgrade rooms & public areas. The room was kept as clean as it could be but was tired. "

"Our room was a great size; the beds were very comfortable; the bathroom was large; the staff was nice and helpful; and the hotel was centrally located, within walking distance of many nice restaurants and the training tracks if you are in town to see the horses. The train station is walkable, but with our luggage we took a cab for only 6 quid. Overall, we loved our stay! "

"Great location and large, comfy rooms, note however that the Annex is facing the car park with cars parked right outside the window."

"Excellent friendly staff very clean hotel though out the only thing that could have been better was the lunch and dinner menu not much choices also I noticed pool quite cold for me and shower and bath water was just warm not hot and I like a hot bath not a warm bath. "

"Location not ideal and trying to pay for parking via RingGo was a bit of a nightmare! Nice breakfast the following day. "

"Dukes head is a a grand building. The hotel is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Restaurant was friendly and food excellent quality and value. Self service style breakfast had everything you would need. A variety of big name shops within easy walking distance as was the harbour area."

"A little dated now in all fairness. Shower was warm, no pressure. Decor dated but still so very retro. Could do with a freshen up. Very clean, attentive staff and I would still stay again. I'm not a picky person at all and still slept very well. Great location and plenty of parking. "
