We had a meal in the restaurant which was outstanding.
My only gripes were with the check in. I explained that we were leaving on the 8am train in a few days. They said that it might be difficult to get a taxi and gave me a card with taxi numbers on it but did not offer to arrange it for me.
They then got us to drag our heavy suitcases to our room which was quite a distance away and up a bit of a hill. It was boiling when we arrived so this was not great. I...
"The hotel was lovely, the staff was so kind and the entire property smelled like orange blossoms from the trees next to the hotel. The provided breakfast buffet was so good and fresh and the staff also offered individual dishes as well as espressos! My only "complaint" would be that the location has very limited restaurants, like only 3 and 2 of them were closed on Mondays! Bring some snacks and you will love the hotel!"

"Tolles Hotel mit wunderbarer Aussicht rundherum in die Weinberge, allerdings nicht auf den Douro. Sehr ruhige Lage mit Anfahrt über schmale, zum Teil sehr steile mit Schotter bedeckte Wege.
