"Amazing place and great location , Joao and his staff were very accommodating and helpful during my stay , would highly recommend and would book again when I’m back in Amarante , the breakfast at the bakery across the hotel was amazing and the staff there were very nice and helpful as well , I was in town in to prepare for a cycling race and they helped with a breakfast box the day of my race. "

"Die Lage ist unschlagbar. Direkt in der Straße befindet sich die Markthalle und die Einkaufsstraße kreuzt diese ebenfalls. Wir haben fast alles ausschließlich zu Fuß erreichen können. Unterkunft an sich war sauber und geräumig. Ausstattung hätte besser sein können. Wir hatten nur ein normales Trinkglas zur Verfügung und ein Trockentuch wäre auch super gewesen, da in der Pantryküche keine Möglichkeit war das Geschirr so trocknen zu lassen. Wir hatten auch den Transfer gebucht und das war super....

"We had a wonderful stay at Canto de Luz! The location is fantastic, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and shops just steps away. The complimentary breakfast was a real highlight and we appreciated that it wasn’t buffet-style to help reduce waste. The food options were well thought out, and the portions were just right. "Booked 2 nights following another wonderful Viking trip ( on the Douro River ). Had done lots of research as we wanted to be in the Ribeira section on the river. Location was PERFECT! could walk to dozens of cafes/ restaurants/ wine bars etc and enjoy outdoors on perfect weather. Upon arrival a bit turned off by exterior which was in need of some cleaning up/weeding and, alas, next to a McDonald's ( in a lovely old building but surrounded by trash we had to pass each time we went in and out.....
