"A lovely establishment & beautiful setting Unfortunately there is renovation work at present & it spoilt our stay, there was a small temporary gym We had a lovely room over looking the golf course, but the workmen were parked directly outside our balcony giving us no privacy at all, we had to keep the curtains pulled which was a shame.. They arrived at 6.30am & the noise woke us up each morning. I dont think these rooms should be used whilst such work is going on."

"A beautiful stay at HdV. The staff were friendly and attentive - everyone you saw in the morning said hello and seemed happy working there. Facilities were immaculate. While the room had a fault with the air con (due to recent overuse in the heatwave) the staff immediately produced two fans to help as best they could and it made all the difference. The breakfast offering was excellent. Would definitely stay again."

"Lovely new hotel in a great location, with beautiful views across the bay.. All staff were helpful and friendly, particularly attentive in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was really good (great Gluten Free options too for my Coeliac daughter) and the breakfast on offer was superb! The rooms are modern, clean and luxurious. The nicest pillows and duvet I have ever encountered in a hotel. โญ๏ธ My only criticism was that the air con was just way too powerful in the bar upstairs, it made being in there way too cold and uncomfortable, but literally everything else about the hotel was fabulous."

"The hotel was amazing, breakfast was great, so much choice. Loved the lift from the harbour side, such a good idea. Staff were all so helpful and nice. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area xxx"

"We have been to the grand hotel a few times now and everytime the staff have been so welcoming and happy to help. Having the pool and spar on site just makes it even better and the food they serve in the restaurant next to the bar is unbelievably good."

"Great place to stop off on way to Cornwall. Bed comfy, great bathroom. Pleased there was a fan as room was quite warm (couldnโt open windows). Meal in evening good and breakfast great. Staff helpful and friendly. Some areas a little tired."
