"We loved Yarra Valley Lodge! Super comfy bed and loads of kangaroos across the property which we cool to see!
The property could benefit from a cosy lounge/bar area as the existing bar wasn’t that inviting."

"The first room that I was given, smelt terribly of cigarette smoke when I entered. I opened the balcony door to get some fresh air into the room. I very quickly closed the door again, as there was a pile of cigarettes butts in the middle of the balcony. I went down to the reception area to inform them of the situation. They very quickly & most apologetically gave me a much better room."

"They need to repair the floor around the elevator entrance on ground floor and straighten the paintings hanging crooked in the lobby. A hotel of this stature needs to be super vigilant of the detais. Housekeeping was excellent and prompt, breakfast was excellent. We will come back."

"It’s a new hotel and rooms were clean. Convenient location within Melbourne shopping precinct. Stayed on 7th floor corner room therefore some street noise could be heard. Only issue is where the TV was placed in an odd location in the middle at the end of the bed which was a safety hazard as you can hit your head against it. Tram stop is just right in front at Elizabeth street."

"Lovely hotel and lovely room. Very clean and comfortable. I had issues connecting to the WiFi, which I'm sure the staff could help with if I contacted them, but I didn't bother on this occasion.
The breakfast offering, for what it is, is very expensive, comprising of about 5 or 6 small bain maries with 2 different food items inside, some breakfast pastries, a small fridge with some fruits, and fresh juices / coffee machine. A nice touch was being able to request fresh made omelets, poached...

"The property is ideal for visiting Melbourne as a solo traveller and ideal for longer stays. Room is spacious and cleaned regularly. Mini kitchen is adequate for making breakfast and small meals. Staff are very kind and polite.
Bicycles can be stored in the luggage room if you are cyclist.
Be advised that some of the rooms are above a bar (not part of hotel) which is noisy until around 10pm. May be a problem for people who are light sleepers. Recommend ask for a room away from the bar or on...
