The water damage in the shower was visible. Trash from the morning’s coffee was never cleaned up. The coffee machine for guests was not fully functional.

This was a horrible experience. Claimed to be family friendly only to find out when checking in that you must be 18 years or older to use the pool. The ONLY reason for our trip was for my 8 yo daughter to have a pool to swim in, stay in a “fancy” room, and go to some attractions in the area. Our room was outdated, not thoroughly cleaned, and very underwhelming. When I spoke to the front desk and two different managers, they were very impolite and refused to offer us any refund so we could switch hotels for the remainder of our stay in the city. I spent a lot more money than usual on this hotel expecting it to be a nice treat for my daughter and I have never been so disappointed in a hotel and the horrible “customer service” I received. I would NEVER go back and I make sure to share my experience with anyone who tells me they are planning a trip to Detroit. Expedia staff was very friendly trying to assist me with getting out of my multiple night reservation so we could go somewhere else with a pool we were allowed to use but the hotel refused to budge or offer any kind of refund. Terrible, terrible experience from this hotel staff.

I wish the housekeeping would have done a better job and cleaned the linens. We found multiple hairs on the mattress and bedding, but that was easily taken care of by a housekeeper, just very disturbing and inconvenient.

The hotel was very nice, clean and if over 21 lots to do. We were in town for a concert, not the casino. Maybe not the best for us. It was loud in the halls and parking lot late at night. Our room was right above the entrance so lots of noise. Room was very nice and clean. Not a lot on property if under 21. We left for dinner. Location was ok, but we didn’t find many restaurants in walking distance.

If this property wants to thrive to be above the rest and a travel destination for people. The employees need to go above and beyond to make it a memorable experience, otherwise most would by pass Detroit to visit other cities. This hotel seems a little beaten down and definitely needs to be refurbished,if it’s to survive the years to come. There are a lot of new hotels coming to Detroit that offer a pleasurable experience. MGM. Needs to step up there game in every sense. Let alone the location is not desirable location as it sits by it self .

The pool closes too early, my mini bar was empty, wet spots on the carpet in my room, the trash cans were gross and didn't have bags in them and the worst part was the uncomfortable bed! We stayed here years ago and were both looking forward to the comfortable bed we had to the last time... we were very disappointed.

Rooms were clean and modern. Bathroom was huge and nice. Water didn't drain in the sink. Restaurants were in the casino. Had a nice steak dinner but not much offered for breakfast and you couldn't walk anywhere outside.
