The Foundation is a lovely historic hotel in downtown Detroit with modern amenities and beautiful furnishings. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated (with a wonderful cozy robe!), the restaurant/bar is lively and the gym is large with a full range of equipment, including Peloton bikes. I will definitely stay there again!

Very well appointed room. Decor was artsy-modern. Excellent location with places to sit and wait for rideshare vehicles. Unfortunately, I did expect some hospitality touches such as bottled water being provided in the room or a efficient way to have dishes cleared away after room service, for the price point. However, none of that was present or evident. Kitchen of the attached redo closed earlier than expected, even on a holiday Sunday. Overall, lovely stay

This hotel is nice enough for an old fire station and fire department headquarters. It’s a bit worn especially in the lobby area. The room we had was large and well appointed. And the staff everywhere was super friendly and helpful.

Great experience. Staff was great! One thing, if you need ice you have to call down and there is no free water that we could see so make sure to buy some before you get there. Other than that, the property is great, rooms were quite spacious and enjoyed our time. Would recommend and would go back for sure.

Check-in was so smooth, and then I walked into a beautiful, well-decorated room. I loved the aesthetics and history behind the building. The gnocchi dinner at the bar was incredible. Highly recommend the Foundation for your next Detroit visit.

Great vibe!!! Loved the unique boutique feeling of this hotel. Location was so walkable to everything in downtown Detroit. Loved the bar that is attached to the hotel. Highly recommend this location.
