"A nice modern hotel in the centre of Bath. Close to the train station and to many shops and restaurants. A short walk to the Abbey, the pump room and the Baths. We were very impressed by the barman, Thomas, who was friendly and efficient and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for just over two weeks and could recommend this hotel."

"Great location and nice hotel but not a 5 star. The concierge and doorman were the best staff members, very helpful and nice but others we interacted with were not great, especially in the bar and restaurant. The spa and thermal waters were nice but very crowded. "

The Hotel needs a fair amount of work to bring it up, the room although clean needs redecorating, scuffed torn wallpaper, chipped furniture, cracked tiles are not a good look. The room is next to the town centre but it was very noisy so we hardly slept, two beds were pushed together and they were very uncomfortable, one dipped to one side when you laid on it. "Hotel used to be lovely. Now very tired. room had a layer of dust under furniture that looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for years. Wifi didn't reach the room reliably and TV wasn't connected to aerial. The lounges are worn and they don't reserve some space for residents so you may not be able to use public areas unless you book them. Oh, and don't be a vegetarian."

"We had a wonderful stay here with our son, both sets of grandparents, and our dog, and it was perfect for everyone. From the moment we arrived, the first impression was fantastic. "Parking is a nightmare and limited. Room was adequate to house small family though it is quite small. "

"I was pleasantly surprised when i arrived at this hotel. Iit overlooked the river Avon, and we could see a little waterfall from our window. The mill wheels was working just outside the dining room window. It would be lovely in the summer. The only downside was the choice for breakfast. However you get what you pay for and as a really cheap hotel it exceeded expectations and when next i go to Bath i will stay there. As a bonus it also has a toll road running into Bath which cost £1.20p cash...

"We had travelled about 190 miles for a wedding, arriving about 12:30 and looking for suitable facilities to change in, only to be offered the use of the disabled toilet. Far from ideal, but we managed. The room like the hotel looked dated, with only 1 packet of biscuits for the 2 of us, only bathroom amenities was a small round of hand soap, a pump dispenser of soap and shampoo over the bath, and the shower wasn't up to much either. The location and views were really nice. "

The staff is extremely knowledgeable & helpful, and the location is great if you want to be close to all tourist spots but stay somewhere a bit more quiet. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Bath!"
