"The hotel is rather new and it is very well organized with the staff going overboard when it comes to hospitality. The rooms are where the hotel really shines. The decor, lighting, automatic shades, sunlight dimming opaque curtains, motion sensitive area lighting, a bath shower which drowns the guest in a warm watery embrace. "LaLiT is a historic building, near the colonial seat of power when Calcutta was the capital of the British Raj. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic, not to mention crowded. But the staff were wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and will stay there again when we are next in Kolkata."
