"My stay was perfect, the room was clean, comfortable and little touches like a coffee machine, complementary water in the fridge was great. The shower, a walk in was amazing.
Had evening dinner the food was delicious and service quick and lovely staff serving.
The English breakfast was filing and perfectly cooked.
We were there for a funeral, and the hotel was hosting the wake, very happy with the hospitality of the staff.
Plenty of parking, would love to return.
Well done everyone"

"Beautiful location and property very nice but can't believe there is no lift / elevator in the building.
Disappointing breakfast offering. Two breakfast buffet offerings advertised, continental £12.95 and hot £16.95 but on the first day there was no hot buffet. Hot food was ordered a la carte from the kitchen (plated) and price remained £16.95 regardless of what was ordered. Surely pricing should have been adjusted. Overall a very pleasant stay but if you're a senior or someone with disabilities...

"The property could definitely do with updating; a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss. However, I would describe the property as quirky. Parking limited but safe. Staff go above and beyond, very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Overall 4 stars, just needs a bit of TLC."

"Lovely house in a beautiful setting.
Decor old fashioned but OK.
Most staff helpful and pleasant.
No hot water on first day and, despite informing a staff member, it was only lukewarm on second day.
Poor breakfast on first day - some food not available (eg bacon) and only one staff member on duty while also covering reception.
Driveway full of potholes."
