"Great hotel, clean room , niece staff and the Breakfast was amazing."

"My first trip to Norway and I hope to return but I will never stay at another Scandic hotel again. The Scandic Torget does not have enough tables in its restaurant. Two days running, I got up from my breakfast table to go and get another coffee, only to find that somebody had taken the table on my return and there wasn't a thing I could do about it. This is a problem particularly for solo travellers. What are we supposed to do? If we leave a bag, book or mobile phone to show the table is in use...

"Our room had a fantastic view over beautiful Bergen. Due to the current hotel staff strike, the room was given occasional and limited cleaning. Only breakfast was available, no bar or restaurant during the rest of the day. Staff are entitled to strike and this did not prevent us from having a great stay in Bergen."

Our room was very comfortable but only feedback was we did not have a full window and we felt a bit closed off from the outside. "The room was spacious and clean, with spare bedding provided as well an iron/ironing board and hairdryer Unfortunately there was industrial action taken place effecting the hospitality imdustry and the bar and restaurant were closed for evening meals/drinks, so am unable to comment. However the staff were extremely helpful in providing glasses and ice etc for your room. Breakfast had a good selection of cold foods and cereals, with a small hot selection of scrambled/fried/boiled eggs, crispy...

Heater did not work and typical bathroom amenities were not present. Breakfast was great. Dinner was disappointing. One dish and dessert for fixed price of NOK 31. Instead of a full buffet. The hotel is in the suburbs but the tram to town was great. Be aware that there is about a 1/2 km walk to the station from the hotel. "
