"Small, very good affordable option along the river within walking distance of the main shrine sites and immediately adjacent to the trail to the Kanmangafuchi Abyss. Seems to be routinely booked by hiking tour groups, at least the two night we spent there. The hotel showed no availability on their website, but I was able to book a room on Expedia."

"Extraordinarily nice hosts, who showed me a lot what I could do in Nikko and gave me lots of useful recommendations and explanations, also maps and bus schedules are available in the house. The house was absolutly clean and had many beuatiful touches. I felt really welcome and enjoyed staying there."

" 家族３人で２泊しました。 事前にいろいろな評価があってちょっと心配しましたが、結果は大満足でした。 名称のとおり、老舗旅館的ではなく、旅館とホテルのいいとこ取りを素晴らしいバランスでされていると思います。 料理も格式ばった料亭のほどではありませんが、バラエティに富み、２泊しても飽きず、夕食朝食ともに美味しくいただきました。 夕食も朝食も部屋ごとの個室で、そこで食事をしている間に布団の上げ下ろしをしてくれます。 部屋や設備も掃除が行き届いており綺麗です。 外国人スタッフも含めて全員の応対も好感が持てるものでした。 リラックスコーナーには、お水（地下水で美味しい）、ジュース、コーヒー、スパークリングワイン、アイスが無料であります。 庭も美しく、特に夜のライトアップは最高です。 駐車はバレーパーキング方式で、玄関口で鍵を渡す方式で到着時、出発時ともに便利です。 アメニティもロクシタンなどで素晴らしい。 ネガティブな評価は、高級老舗旅館と比較している人などなのかなと思いました。また、そういった評価をもとに常に改善されている宿だと感じました。おススメです。 "
