"Absolutely fabulous hotel. The lady at reception was lovely - friendly and helpful. We were able to store our bags when we arrived then went out for lunch. We were able to check in early which was great. All staff have been lovely - I would thoroughly recommend this place."

"The hotel is located in a striking, historical building and the location is great. Our room was also large, well lit and the ensuite bathroom was very nice. The hotel markets itself as a “luxury” hotel and has the makings of one. But the staff do not appear to be well trained, the food was not great, and the furniture in our room was moderate quality at best and somewhat beaten up by wear and tear. "Initially we were given a room on 2nd floor but my husband has mobility issues. However changing rooms wasn’t a problem. Room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was a feast. Great value for money. Although there was a large private party we weren’t disturbed by any noise. Ate from bar menu. Food excellent. Service good. "
